Privacy Policy

Jambavan (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. We collect only what we need to deliver the service — no selling, no advertising profiles.

Learning progress — completed chapters, experiment settings, attempts, hint use, and reasoning challenge results are stored in your browser. When you sign in, your guest journey is merged into your account and saved in MongoDB so you can resume across devices. You can reset your journey from the learning lab.

Optional learning feedback — your rating, comment, and current chapter are stored for product research for up to 90 days. Please do not include sensitive information. Hashed request identifiers are used for short-lived abuse limits.

Timezone — when you sign in, your browser timezone helps schedule digest delivery.

Email address — when you subscribe to the daily digest or sign in. Used to deliver your daily signal and authenticate your account.

Role preference — the professional role you select (Developer, Founder, PM, etc.). Used to filter signals relevant to you.

Bookmarks — brief IDs you save. Stored server-side only if you have an account.

Usage analytics — product events such as opened briefs, role changes, learning attempts, predictions, hints, completions, and reasoning scores are collected via PostHog. A pseudonymous account identifier connects signed-in activity across devices. Email addresses and feedback text are not included in these events. Session recording and automatic form capture are disabled.

Auth tokens — short-lived magic link tokens and OAuth state used to verify identity. Not stored beyond the authentication flow.

We do not collect payment information, browsing history outside Jambavan, location data, or any biometric data. We do not use tracking pixels or advertising cookies.

Your email is used to send the daily or weekly digest you subscribed to, and to send transactional emails (magic links, welcome email). We do not send unsolicited marketing.

Your role preference is used only to filter and rank AI signals for you. It is not shared with third parties.

Pseudonymous product analytics help us understand which types of signals are useful and improve the product over time.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with these sub-processors only as necessary to run the service:

• MongoDB AtlasDatabase hosting (account, learning progress, feedback)
• ResendEmail delivery
• Google OAuthSign-in (if you choose Google)
• PostHogPseudonymous product analytics
• VercelApplication hosting and edge functions

Subscriber records are kept as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your email and role are deleted within 30 days. Account data (bookmarks, role, learning progress) is deleted if you request account deletion.

Product analytics use pseudonymous identifiers and are retained according to our analytics project settings. Optional learning feedback expires after 90 days; request-limit records expire after their short enforcement windows.

You may at any time:

• ·Request account deletion

We use a single session cookie for authentication. No advertising cookies. No third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser but sign-in will not work without the session cookie.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email to subscribers. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
